A black shadow swept across the skies above the turbulent Devil Sea.
In the bright sunlight, it was clear that the shadow was a woman whose hands had transformed into wings. It was Si Man.
"Lady Si Man, why don't you just carry me in your arms?" said Helen, who was riding on Si Man's back, her face slightly flushed.
"What? Is my back uncomfortable?" Si Man turned around and smiled at Helen with tender eyes. "And I told you already, just call me Si Man."
"It's not uncomfortable, it's just a little..." awkward.
Si Man suddenly shushed her. "All right, we've reached our destination. Let's go down first and talk later."
Helen froze, then craned her neck to look below. Sure enough, she saw an island blanketed in blooming flowers. She cast it a curious glance. Whenever the Cloud Conch had passed through these waters in the past, it had never come this way. This was her first time seeing Summer Dew Ridge's true face.
The island was not large, but it was covered in flowers of every color. Buildings lay hidden amid the blossoms and leaves, creating a distinctive charm.
"This is Summer Dew Ridge." Carrying Helen on her back, Si Man slowly descended into a small harbor on the outskirts of the island. "In a moment, I'll take you to Madam Pei to determine your talent. Remember, other than with me, you must show respect to everyone on the island, especially Madam Pei and Lord Shalu."
Helen nodded. "I understand."
Just as Si Man was explaining Summer Dew Ridge's rules to Helen, a group of people suddenly emerged from a distant path. At their head was a graceful, richly dressed woman in a black gown. Yet her cheeks were covered in scars, making her look somewhat terrifying.
