Meanwhile.
Inside the CCS-class Cruiser.
Unlike human technology, the interior of this vessel had smooth bulkheads, mostly light purple in color, with patterns glowing blue across them.
This appeared to be some kind of warehouse for storing weapons and equipment. There were also different species of...
Aliens.
"Mm! Mm! Mm!"
Several tall but hunched elites clad in blue armor were saying something to a larger number of "beasts."
Judging by their tone, they seemed to be scolding or warning them.
These "beasts" were even taller and more heavily built, averaging over two meters sixty in height. They were almost the complete opposite of the elites.
Their bodies were covered in thick fur, like the early humans described in human history textbooks, and their armor looked battered and tattered.
These "beasts" were the Jiralhanae, one of the Covenant's important member species.
Next.
The elites seemed to have finished lecturing the Jiralhanae, and then they all left the warehouse.
Once the automatic doors closed, the elites vanished from the sight of the "people" inside the warehouse.
"Grr! Grr!"
As soon as the elites left, the Jiralhanae began howling angrily. Clearly, the grudge between these two species had been festering for a long time.
"Bang!"
"Eek~!"
Some of the Jiralhanae apparently wanted a better outlet for their anger and began beating the nearby "little fatties" who had been watching.
The "little fatties" being beaten let out comical cries of pain and scattered in all directions to escape the Jiralhanae.
The "little fatties" were also a Covenant member species, though they occupied the lowest rung of its hierarchy: the Unggoy.
They could also be called Grunts, but Unggoy suited their appearance better.
They were short, slow, and stupid, and had to wear breathing masks for long periods, inhaling methane to survive aboard Covenant warships.
