"Power Stone?"
Heros froze.
"That's right." As he spoke, Arthur headed toward the Observer Aircraft Carrier's hangar. When he passed Macha, he reminded the female captain:
"Captain, keep the fleet on standby here for now. Another force should appear in this star system soon. If you spot them, notify me immediately."
"Yes." Macha agreed.
After Arthur left, Heros, Sif, and Cortana followed him at once.
Sif still looked deeply puzzled. She asked Arthur, "Mr. Russell, did you just say you wanted Heros to hold the Power Stone? I didn't hear that wrong, did I?"
Arthur smiled faintly. "You heard correctly."
"But..." Sif glanced at Heros, who looked completely unconcerned beside her, then continued, "If he comes into direct contact with an Infinity Stone without any protective measures, he'll suffer severe injuries. He might even disintegrate completely. Do you really intend to take that risk?"
If this had been the old Sif, she probably would not have said this. She would merely have sighed inwardly at Arthur's "wrong" decision.
But now, because of the Confidentiality Agreement, Sif had begun to involuntarily consider Umbrella's interests. Naturally, she did not want Heros to throw his life away for nothing.
Arthur had only said that he wanted Heros to hold the Power Stone. It was merely a possibility, but if necessary, he would have Heros do it without hesitation.
After all, the madman Ronan from Guardians of the Galaxy 1 could hold the Power Stone with his bare hands, let alone his more powerful nephew.
He chuckled softly and said, "Don't worry. My nephew is a god of war."
Hearing Arthur's praise, Heros puffed out his chest proudly, clearly pleased.
"He's just a little slow-witted and hot-tempered. Someone needs to keep an eye on him."
