'Experiment 25'.

It was an experiment conducted by John Bompas Calhoun in 1947, using mice to simulate human society and predict humanity's future.

Four male mice and four female mice were placed by Calhoun's research team in a barn. The barn had the ideal temperature and humidity, an unlimited supply of food and water, and no natural predators.

The purpose of the experiment was to observe whether mice living in a worry-free environment would continue to flourish or eventually destroy themselves.

After a year of observation,

they discovered that the mouse population underwent explosive growth in its early stages.

However, once the population stabilized at around two thousand, it could no longer grow rapidly.

It had to be known that the mouse habitat transformed from the barn by Calhoun's research team could accommodate at least four thousand mice.

Food and water were supplied without limit. No matter how many mice there were, there were enough portions for all of them, with plenty left over.

But the highest recorded population remained at only 2,200.

After that, because the mice lived in excessive abundance and no longer had to worry about survival, they actually began forming factions and fighting among themselves.

And it was the kind of situation where they fought without end, causing their numbers to plummet.

Even more interestingly, some male mice actually began to feminize. They would select hay to decorate their tails.

The female mice, meanwhile, seemed to prefer these feminized males and were unwilling to mate with 'real' males.

But what was laughable was that these feminized male mice were like eunuchs among mice. They merely wanted to make themselves more beautiful and refused to mate with females that actively approached them.

Look, isn't this much like how, during the twentieth century, human population growth remained slow
