Half a month ago, William had subdued the arrogant and conceited Sovreign Race in just half an hour. This had also ensured that, for a short time, no civilization in the Milky Way Galaxy dared to directly challenge Umbrella.
William had originally intended to deploy a "Personal Halo" in the Sovreign Race's home star system, ensuring that not a single Sovreign remained there.
However, William understood the principle that excessive force could backfire. If he oppressed them too harshly, all the civilizations in the Milky Way Galaxy would unite and declare war on Umbrella and Earth.
Although he was capable of resisting the entire galaxy alone, and could even use the "Little Halo" to directly wipe out all intelligent species within a thousand light-years, still...
If he did that, how would he, William, be any different from that idiot Thanos?
Therefore, it was enough to display an appropriate amount of strength. After all, the Star Killer's tonnage and size were right there for everyone to see. Only the conceited Sovreign Race would dare to challenge it directly.
Over the following days, William forcibly made all the Sovreign higher-ups sign Confidentiality Agreements. He also stationed a large number of A-class personnel and a Marine Corps reinforced regiment on the Sovreign homeworld.
With the Marine Corps' strength, they were more than capable of suppressing any form of uprising by the Sovreign Race. William then led the fleet back to Earth.
By July 17 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, William had already prepared to lead Fleet Zero and the Blood Ravens Fleet back to the Main Universe.
Before returning to the Main Universe, however, William planned to hold a grand victory banquet at the White House on the seventeenth, thereby handing control of Marvel Earth over to
