Dao Master Luo maintained the connection between the two universes, while the other three Dao Masters redirected the tribulation fortune, cultivating the Other Shore's techniques through the Zhao Realm and linking the tribulation fortune to the Zhao Realm's Heaven and Earth Great Dao.
This was the method of redirecting disaster by transplanting flowers and replacing one tree with another.
It was Dao Master Tongtian's first time doing something like this, and his movements were somewhat clumsy.
Dao Master Lin said to Dao Master Tongtian, "With the Other Shore and the Zhao Realm connected and the tribulation fortune redirected, it won't be long before the Zhao Realm's tribulation fortune gradually thickens, and slaughter begins to rise. Tribulation fortune drives slaughter, making it grow ever fiercer, while slaughter in turn nourishes tribulation fortune. When it reaches its most intense, the great tribulation will descend. Whether the Zhao Realm can survive will depend on whether enough of its experts die. Most importantly, it will depend on its fortune."
Dao Master Tongtian asked, "How can we stimulate the tribulation fortune?"
Dao Master Luo laughed. "Tribulation fortune is, of course, stirred up by slaughter. Once slaughter begins in the Zhao Realm, the tribulation fortune will erupt!"
Dao Master Lin smiled. "The more people who die in the Zhao Realm and the fiercer the slaughter becomes, the more tribulation fortune the Other Shore will consume, and the safer it will be."
Dao Master Luo said, "Transplanting flowers and replacing one tree with another only prevents the Other Shore from suffering the tribulation. But the tribulation fortune of Dao Masters like us has yet to be canceled out. Therefore, we must first transfer it onto another Dao Master who will serve as the scapegoat. Once he is killed, our tribulation fortune will be dispelled."
