Yoruichi was also perched steadily atop Aunt Yuko's head, observing the surroundings.
Looking at everyone sprawled out and dazed, Aunt Yuko gave a simple assessment.
"You all get zero points."
"What the hell was that?" Ichigo grimaced as he hauled himself out of the Ruins, clutching his aching lower back.
"Ow, ow, ow..."
Orihime Inoue rubbed her butt as she got up from the ground.
Uryu Ishida dusted off his clothes, rose, and looked around. "This is Soul Society?"
"It's just like I remember. I thought it might have modernized a little." Aunt Yuko also looked around after so long. "If I remember correctly, this should be the west district, right?"
"I'm amazed you still remember." Yoruichi patted Aunt Yuko's head. "As I recall, you hardly ever came here."
"Well, I once conned little Soeiling out of her pocket money here."
"...You really are a bad woman." Yoruichi paused and clearly had no intention of continuing that topic. She went on introducing the place to Ichigo Kurosaki and the others.
"This is the outskirts of Soul Society, also known as Rukongai. It's where souls guided to Soul Society live at first. It surrounds Seireitei, where the Soul Reapers reside."
"It's the poorest, freest, and most densely populated area in Soul Society."
Aunt Yuko spread her hands. "Why not just say that everywhere except Seireitei is impoverished?"
"You... your tone is as abrasive as ever."
"I'm just telling it like it is. I worked myself to death in the Human World, only to find things this miserable after coming to Soul Society. It makes me feel like my whole life was ruined." Aunt Yuko couldn't help complaining. "I died thinking I'd go to heaven and enjoy myself."
"Who knew it would turn out like this?"
Yoruichi slapped her cheek in rebuttal.
