The battlefield instantly descended into chaos. It wasn't just Yuko and Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto who were caught up in it—even the three people standing nearby, including Retsu Unohana, had been targeted.

"What the hell are these two doing?"

It was no longer a matter of deciding whether to save him after one side lost. Now they had to figure out how to stop the two of them.

If this continued, they didn't know which of the two would die first, but Seireitei and Soul Society definitely would.
