If I Can't Kill Him, I'll Kill You

Yoshino clenched her teeth and gestured with both hands before her chest.

"Come out, Gett."

Her fingertips brushed the Crest on her fingercap. A fire crow gathered before her, and the summoning of the Doll was just about to succeed.

Udagawa merely shifted his eyes slightly. Volte, wrapped around his neck, immediately understood his intention. Red Light gleamed in its eyes, and several black snakes formed from steel bars bound Yoshino once again.

Bound by the black snakes, Yoshino fell to the ground. The snakes slowly tightened, crushing her so thoroughly that she could not even muster the strength to move.

Before Yoshino, Ichigo was still battling the black snakes.

Dust from the construction site danced wildly in the firelight, and Ichigo was already looking rather disheveled.

This guy had deliberately chosen a place like this to hunt. There were too many things here for him to use—long, narrow objects were everywhere.

The Zanpakuto's power could take down one snake with each slash, but the enemy had the advantage in numbers. Ichigo simply could not clear them all.

"Damn it, these things just won't stop!" Ichigo panted. He blocked one black snake's bite with his blade, only for another snake's tail to sweep into his abdomen. His entire body slid several meters before crashing into the track of an excavator.

These snakes were incredibly strong, their attacks fully comparable to those of a Hollow.

Udagawa stroked Volte's body with one hand and said calmly, "How embarrassing, Yoshino."

"To think you would get tangled up with a Soul Reaper like this."

Yoshino looked at him bitterly. "Udagawa, you're the ones who are wrong."

Udagawa frowned slightly, and the hand resting on Volte slowly moved away.

"Enough, Volte. End this farce. Take care of that Soul Reaper."

As his voice fell, Volte,
