"I know, Miss Yoshino!" Orihime gritted her teeth and raised a light shield as she stared at Rukia, whose eyes were vacant as she pointed her Zanpakuto at her.

"Gett! Take him down!" Yoshino had no time to worry about anything else. She ordered Gett to charge at the defenseless Mabashi.

"Understood!" Gett roared and charged toward Mabashi in the distance, wrapped in a scorching wave.

"Heh heh, you want to take me down?" Mabashi was admiring his masterpiece with an intoxicated look when he saw Yoshino charge over. He sneered disdainfully. "Don't make me laugh."

Mabashi actually charged forward instead of retreating.

Although Bavents basically had to rely on the power of their Dolls, their own strength was still not to be underestimated.

Their advantage in age was especially significant. Having lived for a long time, they would not lack combat skill after even a little training.

Yoshino had not expected Mabashi to attack without his Doll's help, and was caught off guard for a moment. But even though she was not skilled in combat, her body's instincts still drove her to sweep her leg out the instant she closed in on Mabashi.

Mabashi, however, deftly dodged to the side and countered with a heavy elbow strike that slammed into Yoshino's abdomen.
