Yoshino lay on the floor and began drawing a magic circle on the clean flooring. Her movements were quick and clearly practiced.
Soon, a crest-like pattern was successfully drawn.
Yoshino then lit three White Candles at the three corners of the crest.
"Is it really okay to light candles in broad daylight?" Yuko stood behind her, tilting her head as she watched. "Though it looks pretty simple."
After finishing the crest, Yoshino turned around and said, "A Doll is something a Bavent creates by using a special technique to project part of a soul into the Human World and give it a vessel, allowing it to assist its creator in battle."
"God perfected this Summoning Ritual, allowing the Bavents to obtain their own Dolls more easily."
"But it's worth noting that if one's disposition is lacking or one isn't strong enough, there's a high chance the Doll will turn around and devour its master."
"Of course, Yuko probably won't have this problem."
Yoshino only briefly described the risks, and Yuko didn't pay them any mind.
Yoshino pointed at the magic circle. "Since this magic circle is generally used by Bavents, I don't know whether anything unexpected will happen."
"The Doll might not be summoned. There could even be unforeseen risks."
Yuko lowered her eyelids slightly. "It's fine. Just go ahead and do it."
She was confident that a Bavent's tricks couldn't hurt her.
Yoshino clearly thought the same.
"What do I need to do? Stand in the middle of the magic circle? Or do I need to drip blood on it to acknowledge me as its master?"
"..." Yoshino handed Yuko a slip of paper from her pocket. "This is the Summoning Incantation from the Summoning Book I wrote down from memory. Just face the magic circle and recite it."
