The massive boulder Yuko had struck down slowly rose again. Through the dust, two figures could be seen rewinding into place.
Yuko grabbed Soi Fon, and the two landed together on a spiral staircase nearby.
"Let's go. The others are already higher up."
As soon as Yuko spoke, Soi Fon's vision blurred. When her eyes refocused, they were already at the very top of the stone tower.
A broad platform spread before them. The Central Great Underground Prison, now an ice pillar, stood at its center, with Kusaka's enormous form looming above it.
Dense Hollow Groups covered the surrounding area, and there was no shortage of Great Hollows among them.
The others were already in motion, charging toward Kusaka at the center.
Hollows fell in swathes along their path, only to be replaced almost at once.
Yuko watched it all. The King's Seal's power clearly could not be spent without limit. Apart from the two Arrancar sisters, these Hollows, Great Hollows included, could not rewind time. Instead, a Garganta was being opened amid the Hollow Groups to bring more through.
But the King's Seal was still running wild. They might not be able to wait for its power to run out; Soul Society could be swallowed by the domain first.
She had taken Old Man Yama's spiritual pressure. Plenty of Captains and Vice-Captains remained outside, but even they would struggle against the King's Seal's rampage. They probably could not hold out much longer.
"Sister Yuko, he's over there!"
Soi Fon shook her head to ease the discomfort of the spatial jump and pointed toward Kusaka.
Bursts of spiritual pressure erupted along the way as one fighter after another tore through the Hollows and Great Hollows, racing toward Kusaka Sojiro.
They were the Captains and Seated Officers who had come up
