Demon Race Marshal

Bai Ze was one of the Ten Great Demon Marshals and the Demon Race's foremost sage of wisdom. During the Witch-Demon Calamity, he handled errands to Eastern Kunlun, including delivering Shore Flowers to Zhou Qingqing. When his actions contributed to the Witch Clan producing Earth Dao Saints, he stepped forward to accept responsibility rather than let Di Jun bear the consequences. 221

He also served as a reliable court informant. When Fuxi arrived at the Heavenly Court accompanied by Grand Pure Laozi, Bai Ze immediately reported the unexpected pairing to Di Jun, preventing an impulsive attack on Fuxi. 251

Steward of Three Pure Ones Heaven

After the Demon Race's defeat, Di Jun and Taiyi left Bai Ze in the Primordial World to maintain contact with Zhou Qingqing and prevent the Heavenly Court from offending the Upper Three Heavens. Bai Ze understood that he was also an anchor for the Demon Emperors' eventual return. 326

Bai Ze sought a place under Zhou Qingqing rather than formally joining the Heavenly Court. She appointed him steward of Three Pure Ones Heaven, assigning him to receive Daoism disciples, establish rewards and punishments, and manage its affairs. 327
