The upper district of the Abyssal Skin Factory.

Here, the districts had been planned according to different noble ranks, based on the Blood Folk's habits from life. In the area near the mountaintop, the open-air platform with the finest scenery had been transformed into the lush Emerald Manor.

At the center stood a mansion built from noble stone and old gold. The remaining four of the Seven Marquis lived there, enjoying the highest level of treatment.

However, this was not the highest point.

The manor was still several hundred meters below the top of the Skin Factory. That place had once been the factory's uppermost level. Before the Evil Sun fell, the top floor had been the indispensable "Advanced Skin-Drying Room" of the entire factory.

The highest-grade skins would be transported there to receive as much of the Evil Sun's scorching heat and the Silver Moon's cold refinement as possible.

After the war was lost and the sun and moon withered, the top-floor drying room was abandoned and had not been used for a very long time. But it now seemed to have been repurposed by the Blood Folk, and its entrance was right beside the Marquis Manor.

At present,

Marquis Enwei had failed to track down the intruder and could only return to the manor to report what had just happened to his fellow Marquises. He felt that the matter needed to be discussed openly, so he had called the meeting in his capacity as a Marquis.

Seven chairs had been placed in the mansion's hall, each corresponding to one of the Seven Marquis.

Unfortunately, there were no figures in the chairs belonging to "Greed," "Sloth," and "Wrath." The former had died only recently, while the latter two had already died during the war.
