In a small village on the edge of the Star Plateau in the west of the Atlantis Empire.
Long ago, this had been a secret stronghold established by the Spirituality Sect. The Extraordinary war that had previously taken place in the Pas River Valley caused the entire Spirituality Sect to collapse, leaving only the Revival Faction led by Doffis as the dominant force.
From then on, the Beyonders in this village no longer contacted the Spirituality Sect, which had fled the Southern Continent and existed in name only.
They prepared to completely conceal their identities and continue living on this land.
However, they still believed in God of Death, in the Nether Emperor of the Fourth Epoch.
Today, an old man died in this village. While some of his family wept before his body and others busied themselves with the funeral arrangements, the dead old man suddenly sat up.
Everyone in the room was startled, because even though they believed in God of Death, they had no custom of turning family members into Living Corpses.
The old man, who had already died, had unfocused eyes. In a hoarse voice, he said, "The Underworld is in turmoil. Many Undead have been driven into the real world! A new 'Lord of the Undead' has been born!"
After saying that, the old man lay back down and "died" once more.
His family stared at one another. Only after a long while did they suddenly realize what had happened: a tremendous change had occurred in the Underworld! They hurried to report the matter to the Clan Head!
