Background / History
Fuxi chose to support Di Jun's Demon Country as a means of reducing the suffering expected from an approaching great tribulation. Fuxi's Heavenly Demon City subsequently joined the Demon Country, bringing its four Grand Unity cultivators into Di Jun's faction 129.
After integrating Heavenly Demon City, Di Jun appointed Fuxi as Xi Huang and Nuwa as Wa Huang, granting them status equal to himself and Eastern Emperor Tai Yi. He then moved to consolidate the new forces for war against the Immortal Court in the Eastern Divine Continent 133.
Di Jun's victory over the Immortal Court did not satisfy his ambitions. He intended to annex the Northern Kurukshetra Continent and the Palace of the Demon Master, ultimately seeking to establish a broader rule over the Great Desolation 175.
Personality
Di Jun is ambitious, politically adept, and highly pragmatic. He treats military victories as steps toward a larger project of securing the Demon Race's position against future rivals, including powerful recluses and eventual Saints 162.
He favors long-term strategy over pride. During the conflict with East King Gong, he accepted territorial concessions while preparing a countermeasure against the Myriad Immortals Array; later, he ordered retreats when the Grand Formation of the Myriad Stars was compromised 165 200.
His pragmatism can become ruthless. He pursued Hong Yun's Primordial Violet Qi despite the danger of provoking the Dao Ancestor, and he later ordered treasures refined with human souls after learning they could restrain the Wu Clan's true bodies 252 320.
Di Jun also places exceptional value on the Heavenly Court's reputation. Believing guests had departed because of poor reception, he was prepared to personally pursue them rather than allow the Court to lose face 232 233.
Abilities & Skills
Quasi-Saint Cultivation
Di Jun was a mid-stage Quasi-Saint during the Immortal Court war and advanced to the late stage after receiving heavenly merit from the Heavenly Court's founding 162 237.
- Fought Di Jiang, Zhu Jiuyin, and She Bishi alongside Kunpeng after the major formations collapsed 324.
- Faced three Ancestor Witches alone during the Mount Buzhou conflict, though he was forced to use and then destroy a major formation to escape 199.
- Was injured when the Grand Formation of the Myriad Stars was destroyed during the Witch-Demon war 266.
Grand Formation of the Myriad Stars
Di Jun commands the Demon Race's principal formation, which can attack, defend, and trap opponents 181.
- Blocked an attack from the Pangu True Body, though Di Jun spat blood from the impact 262.
- Its connection to the Lunar Star was severed by an unknown Quasi-Saint, allowing the Twelve Ancestor Witches to break it 200.
- Was unable to overcome Shen Gui's Myriad Rivers and Mountains Grand Formation 181.
- A simplified version was used to trap the severely injured Hong Yun 252.
River Diagram and Luo Script Formations
Di Jun possesses the River Diagram and Luo Script and derived an incomplete array from them to counter East King Gong's Myriad Immortals Array 165.
- Requested Fuxi's aid in deducing the incomplete formation.
- Offered to share the River Diagram and Luo Script's secrets if the deduction succeeded 165.
- Used the Primordial River Luo Formation against three Ancestor Witches, then detonated it to retreat 199.
Leadership and Statecraft
Di Jun manages the Demon Country and later the Heavenly Court through appointments, recruitment, military planning, and symbolic displays of legitimacy.
- Elevated Fuxi and Nuwa to co-ruling positions to integrate Heavenly Demon City 133.
- Planned to recruit defeated enemies such as East King Gong and Hu Niu rather than merely eliminate them 162.
- Ordered the Wu Clan's annihilation attempt with Ji Meng and Bi Fang leading 32 Grand Unity Golden Immortals and a billion demon troops 186.
- Proposed the Demon Race Heavenly Court and relocated the capital to the Thirty-Six Heavens 218.
- Distributed Star Fruits and invited powerful cultivators to witness the Court's founding 236.

Story Role / Major Arcs
Integration of Heavenly Demon City
Di Jun accepted Fuxi's support and incorporated Heavenly Demon City into the Demon Country. He established Fuxi and Nuwa as Xi Huang and Wa Huang, then began preparing the enlarged faction for war with the Immortal Court 129 133.
War Against the Immortal Court
Di Jun sought to defeat East King Gong in a way that would secure genuine submission, initially leaving Tai Yi to fight alone. When East King Gong invited a two-on-one confrontation and appeared to possess a hidden measure, Di Jun joined the battle 162.
He adopted a patient strategy against the Myriad Immortals Array, ceding territory while Fuxi helped deduce a counter-formation. After the Immortal Court's defeat, Di Jun turned immediately toward further expansion 165 175.
Northern Kurukshetra Setback
Di Jun's attempted annexation of the Northern Kurukshetra Continent stalled before Shen Gui's Myriad Rivers and Mountains Grand Formation. He recognized that the Grand Formation of the Myriad Stars could not break the defense, leaving Tai Yi's duel with Shen Gui to provide the Demon Country a dignified pretext to withdraw 181.
Witch-Demon Conflict
Di Jun and Tai Yi chose the Thirty-Six Heavens as the Demon Race's future foundation and ordered an assault on the Wu Clan 186. In later battles, Di Jun deployed the Grand Formation of the Myriad Stars against the Twelve Ancestor Witches, but an unknown Quasi-Saint severed its Lunar Star connection, forcing a retreat 199 200.
He later judged that successfully blocking the Pangu True Body's attack proved the Demon Race could confront the Wu Clan directly, despite suffering injury himself 262.
Founding of the Heavenly Court
Di Jun proposed establishing a Demon Race Heavenly Court to oppose the Wu Clan's Heavenly Court and planned to relocate the capital to the Thirty-Six Heavens 218. He formally established the Court as its Heavenly Emperor, declaring his intent to unify the Demon Race and bring order to the Great Desolation 236.
The founding attracted heavenly merit, advancing Di Jun to the late Quasi-Saint stage. The Wu Clan's subsequent decision to manage the Great Desolation directly became an open challenge to his authority 237.
Pursuit of Greater Power
To strengthen the Heavenly Court against the Wu Clan, Di Jun proposed taking Hong Yun's Primordial Violet Qi in hopes of creating another Saint. He later participated with Tai Yi and Kunpeng in an ambush that trapped the injured Hong Yun within a simplified Grand Formation of the Myriad Stars 239 252.
After Jiu Ying revealed the restraining effect of human souls on Wu Clan true bodies, Di Jun ordered Tai Yi to refine suitable treasures and sent Kunpeng to subdue the Dragon Race 320.
