Background / History

Paradise Fae and Savior Ash

Morgan's Fae Kingdom incarnation is a Paradise Fae: a star seed that drifted from the Inner Sea of the Planet to the surface and grew as a human would. She was raised by the Rain Clan in Orkney until the Wind, Earth, Fang, and Wing clans destroyed the island out of fear and hatred of Paradise Fae. 103

Because Paradise Fae were widely hated, Morgan traveled incognito as Savior Ash. Her actions as Ash earned her a reputation as a cheerful, brave protector of Britain, and she eventually tamed the white magical beast Fou. 103 127

While living in a Fae village with Shirou, Morgan joined the defense against the Cursed Hands Calamity. When conventional attacks could not destroy the creature, she invoked Rhongomyniad and drove it away. 104

Uther's Court and the Fae Consort

In another recorded Britain history, Morgan was raised as King Uther and Igraine's daughter, though she was not Uther's blood relative. She studied Magic under Merlin and believed herself destined to inherit Britain due to her overwhelming magical talent. 120

Morgan initially treated Shirou as a threat to her succession, suspecting that Uther and Merlin intended to make the adopted boy king instead. Her A-rank Fae Eyes confirmed that Shirou sincerely wanted her to take the throne, beginning their shift from rivalry to trust. 120 121

When Uther arranged Morgan's political marriage to King Lot of Orkney, Shirou secretly imprisoned Lot and took his place. Morgan became Orkney's de facto ruler, severed ties with Uther, expanded her territory, and became known as the Fae Consort. 122 123

Morgan later accepted Shirou as both her husband and political partner. Although the Round Table initially opposed their relationship, Shirou persuaded most of the knights that Morgan was not inherently evil and had secretly supported his achievements. 124

Queen of Britain

Morgan is described as the successor Shirou trusted to surpass him as a ruler. After Britain was restored to peace, he believed her better suited to lead a new order than the fear-based rule he had used during the conquest. 21

As Queen, Morgan defeated Vortigern and maintained Britain through a period of peace and prosperity. She also repelled a Roman plot, sought godhood to challenge Albion, and eventually abdicated in Artoria's favor. 128 129

Her victories later troubled her when she discovered evidence that an unseen force had aided her at decisive moments: Albion paused before she struck, the Sword of Selection had already been damaged, and improbable opportunities had repeatedly appeared during her years as Savior Ash. 129

Shirou's Sacrifice and the End Goddess

Finding her childhood cloth dog doll restored Morgan's erased memories of Shirou. Realizing that rulership and Britain meant nothing to her without him, she attempted to summon him through black magic, but the ritual failed. 130

Merlin revealed that Shirou had not merely become a Counter Force Guardian: he had sacrificed his body, mind, soul, and consciousness to become the Counter Force itself, ensuring a world in which Morgan could be happy. 132

Refusing to accept their separation, Morgan began creating parallel worlds rather than attempting a simple resurrection. Her Magic Reaction escalated across cosmic scales until she became End Goddess Morgan le Fay, able to create worlds in which she and Shirou could meet again. 134

Appearance

Morgan appears in markedly different forms and disguises across her histories.

  • Fae Consort / original record — silver hair reaching the ground, black veil, black clothing, pale skin, and an aloof presence. 191
  • Witch of Rain — green eyes created through glasses that alter her vision and apparent eye color. 35
  • Savior Ash — blue eyes. 35
  • Queen Morgan — faded light-blue pupils. 35
  • Disguises — can dye her hair gold and alter her pupils to emerald green while investigating Britain incognito. 128

Personality

Morgan is deeply ambitious and possesses a powerful sense of responsibility toward Britain. As a princess, she believed she alone had the talent and resolve to become king; as Queen, she pursued peace, prosperity, and protection for the island with overwhelming force. 120 128

Her public identities differ sharply. Savior Ash is remembered as cheerful, brave, and approachable, while Queen Morgan is viewed as cold, mechanical, and unwilling to trust even those closest to her after betrayal by Uther and Merlin. 127

Morgan's attachment to Shirou ultimately outweighs her ambition for Britain. After recovering her memories, she rejects the idea that becoming Queen was her true happiness and devotes herself entirely to finding or recreating a world where they can be together. 130 134

Three Personalities

Morgan possesses three seamlessly switching personalities that outsiders cannot normally detect. 123

  • Morgan — the princess personality; openly dotes on Shirou. 123
  • Vivian — the Lady of the Lake personality; wishes to guide Shirou into becoming king. 123
  • Morgan le Fay — the witch personality; seeks to rule Britain, eliminate obstacles, and live freely with Shirou. 123
