The gray-white flames burning in the King of Frost Knights' eyes grew even brighter. A subtle smile split his pale face. "You can rest assured. I never intended to reclaim the Dark Dragon's inheritance. You passed the trial perfectly."
"Passed it perfectly?"
"Although your performance in the battle earlier was abysmal, your judgment was extraordinary. That proves you have a battle-minded brain, and brains matter more than anything else. Not to mention, you possess the potential to become a Spellweaver. You're still only an apprentice, but I can tell that you've already found your own path. Becoming strong is only a matter of time for you."
"As for my question, you answered that too. Young man, you only got one thing wrong. Odin wasn't searching for the Dark Dragon, but for someone capable of shouldering this responsibility. And my duty is to show you Vonder's future."
"Vonder's future is that never-ending war you mentioned? Are you saying the Crystal Clusters are the potential enemies of our world, and that they may even have once served the Twilight Dragon?"
"I don't know. That was Odin's intention. But I do know that the growth of civilization in our world hasn't been smooth. The Cultists, the Black Forest, and the monsters are all eroding the borders of the Civilized World. This war has never ended."
"You don't need to tell me that. No one is going to sit around and wait to die. The world's enemies aren't limited to the Crystal Clusters either. Even without them, we'd still have to endure the Magic Tide. The Twelve Lunar Cycles have never shone upon Vonder with good intentions. We still have to deal with the Wolf Calamity and the Cultists."
