"You." Bai Jia placed her teacup lightly on the coffee table. "Can you still see the characters' Attributes and lists, as well as the menus, in the game?"
Brando shifted uneasily, like a child whose thoughts had been guessed. People often took him for a genius because of this secret, but he knew what was really going on. He had never admitted it, but neither had he denied it. Letting others assume as much brought him advantages. As a nobleman without a foundation, he needed authority both within the kingdom and before his subordinates. Someone with extraordinary abilities could often easily become a leader.
But keeping something like this buried in his heart was one thing; having someone point it out to his face was another. His senior smiled with pursed lips and said gently, like a kindly older sister from next door, "I only guessed. You don't need to be so nervous. Outsiders probably can't tell. You don't need to be troubled or embarrassed by it, either. You may be the only person in this world with such an ability, because I don't have it either. You're unique."
Even so, Brando still felt that this power had not been gained through his own efforts. It was something he had been born with, as though he had simply gotten lucky. It could not really be considered his personal ability. This often left him confused, too, which was why he always acted humbly before his subordinates and seemed somewhat indecisive. Fortunately, his familiarity with the future allowed him to find the right direction whenever the overall situation shifted, always staying one step ahead and enabling him to reach where he was today.
Wisdom seemed to shine in Bai Jia's dark eyes. It was as though she had seen through Brando's
