The sailors finally snapped out of their daze. They tossed aside the rum they had been using to celebrate and busied themselves under the First Mate's direction!
Meanwhile, the captain continued observing the eerie gray fog through his telescope...
As the helm turned and the Steam Engine started up, the ship was instantly filled with the rumbling noise of machinery in operation.
The ship quickly turned and sped off in another direction!
But strangely, the gray fog seemed to have locked onto them. It also turned and came after them, heading in the same direction. Everyone who saw it felt their scalps go numb!
