"My name is Damu. I'm the owner of Damu's Bakery on Beixidadar Street in the western part of the city..."
Over on East Street, the middle-aged, pudgy uncle whom Li Gou Dan had activated sat there introducing himself with a terrified look on his face. Beside him, Li Gou Dan still looked utterly dumbfounded, clearly not yet recovered from that so-called principle of equivalent exchange.
"Not bad!" The big man called Hans perked up and nodded in satisfaction. "It's actually the owner of a food shop. Quick, where's your bakery? Take me there!"
"Yes... yes, Sir Knight..." Damu nodded repeatedly.
"I say... Uncle, I regret this now. Can I get my finger back?" Li Gou Dan asked mournfully.
Damn it, his mother had taught him when he was little not to touch random things. As it turned out, adults really did know what they were talking about!
"Be satisfied!" Hans said without turning his head. "A little finger in exchange for a bakery—where else are you going to find a deal that good?"
Li Gou Dan: "..."
Wasn't he exchanging for a person? What did this have to do with a bakery?
In less than fifteen minutes, the group rushed all the way to the bakery the other party had mentioned. Li Gou Dan immediately noticed that this bakery was very different from its surroundings...
To put it simply, its art style was different. Everything around it had a gloomy color scheme, while this bakery alone was bright and vivid, as though someone had adjusted the levels in Photoshop.
The moment they entered the bakery, Hans impatiently said, "Give me something to eat. Hard bread that'll fill me up, cream, and chocolate sauce—bring me a serving of each. Meat would be even better!"
"Uh... yes, Sir Knight..." Hans hurriedly nodded
