Emma came running over anxiously, dragging Su Yang's suitcase and shouting as she went.
Su Yang smiled and handed Emma the black bag in his hand. "Here. I got it back for you."
Seeing her bag, Emma accepted it with a gasp, still panting and looking incredulous. "Phew! Y-you really caught the thief?"
"That wasn't a thief. That was a robber." Su Yang looked at the man sprawled on the ground.
Clap, clap, clap!!
Just then, the surrounding onlookers applauded Su Yang and cheered.
Su Yang turned toward the crowd with a smile. "You're too kind! That's enough clapping. Any more and I'll get embarrassed, hahaha."
At that moment, one of the guards walked up to Su Yang and politely asked him a few questions. Su Yang answered truthfully and handed the other white bag to the guard.
He had thought the guards would ask him to come along and assist with a further investigation, but after asking a few questions, the guard gave him a thumbs-up and praised him before leaving with two other colleagues, escorting the man in black.
"Hm? They're just leaving?" Su Yang asked, slightly stunned, as he looked at Emma.
Emma nodded. "What else would they do? You helped the guards catch a thief. It's normal for them to thank you."
"I thought they'd ask me to go with them for verification or something."
"No need. They'll check the surveillance footage. Besides, things like this happen often in our subway stations. The guards are already used to it. Most of the victims are foreigners, though. This was my first time getting robbed. I was terrified just now."
"Are you all right?" Su Yang stepped forward with concern.
Emma stared at Su Yang and shook her head. "I'm fine. But speaking of that, you're
