"Hmm? Buddy, you speak multiple languages too?" Su Yang asked in French.
"Haha, I suppose you could say I'm a little language genius."
"Really?"
"Hehe, I've loved studying languages from different countries since I was little. I guess I'm fairly talented when it comes to languages, but even now, I've only barely mastered three."
"So I know firsthand how difficult learning a foreign language is. Naturally, I don't believe you when you say you speak so many languages," the driver said as he drove.
"Su Yang, what is he saying?"
"He says he doesn't believe I can speak so many languages."
"So what would it take for you to believe me?" Su Yang asked the driver with interest.
"Your French is indeed quite good, and your English is decent too. But you just said you speak Spanish, right?"
"Yes."
"As it happens, I do too."
"Oh? Since you don't believe me, why don't you test me?" Su Yang said with a smile.
"Sure. *******, *******, ***, *****, what does that mean?" The driver rattled off a long string of words.
Su Yang smiled. "You recited a poem, didn't you?"
"You actually know it?"
"Together with me, that means forever. A hundred years, a thousand years, I will..." Before Su Yang could finish, the driver turned around and laughed. "I believe you, I believe you!"
"I have no reason to lie. If I know it, I know it; if I don't, I don't. That's the quality a good young person in this day and age should have."
"Well said! You're awesome." The driver gave him a thumbs-up and waved it around.
Li Yuanying had been completely bewildered while the two of them talked. Only after they finished did she ask, "What were you two talking about for so long?"
"Nothing much.
