Mei Hui had not had time to speak when the bathroom door at the corridor entrance to her left opened a crack.
Qing Xia poked her head out and called, "Why did the power go out?"
"I don't know. It suddenly went out. It's probably because of the thunderstorm," Mei Hui replied.
"The water stopped too. I was just about to rinse off the shower gel and come out, but it stopped before I could. What am I supposed to do?" Qing Xia shouted.
Just then, a voice came from upstairs as well. "Su Yang!"
"What is it?" Su Yang called back.
"Can you come up here? The water and power are out."
"You want me to come up?"
"Mei Hui, you come up too." Qing Xia called for Mei Hui as well.
"Oh, oh, okay." Mei Hui looked at Su Yang, took out her phone, turned on the flashlight, and said with a smile, "Mr. Su, the last time it rained, the power went out too. And now it's happening again."
Su Yang gave a helpless smile. "What a coincidence."
"Oh, stop chatting for now, will you? Mei Hui, come over here."
"Okay, okay, I'm coming." Mei Hui smiled and walked toward the bathroom.
Su Yang also headed upstairs. He soon reached the bedroom and asked, "Where are you?"
"Where else would I be? I'm in the bathroom."
"Dry yourself off, put on some clothes, and come out."
"I... I'm covered in shower gel. How am I supposed to dry myself?"
"No way. You didn't rinse off either?"
"What do you mean, 'either'?"
Su Yang slapped his forehead and walked to the bathroom door. "Never mind. Why did you call me up here?"
"I... I'm a little scared. The power suddenly went out, and it's pitch-black. I can't see
