Final Thoughts

Actually, this is a fake final note, because there's still one chapter that hasn't been uploaded.

The remaining chapter should be called an extra that isn't really an extra. It's mainly meant to clarify some people and events that still haven't been made clear.

Although ending the book at this point wasn't part of my original plan, life is always full of helplessness. I can only do my best to make everything as complete as possible. At the very least, I want to leave behind a good memory...

I actually owe many readers an explanation regarding the later hiatuses, but when it comes time to explain, I don't even know where to begin.

Far too much happened this past year—disasters, illness, man-made calamities, debts... Any one of them could have crushed a person's life. That was one reason. The second was that the middle and later portions of this book really weren't written as well as they could have been. It was my fault for not having the time to refine the outline later on, which caused some parts of the plot to stray off course.

Or perhaps it was simply a lack of experience. My first book was completed at a million words, while this third book was the first time I'd written more than two million words. I wasn't quite skilled enough at handling such a long plot. Here, I want to apologize to all the readers who liked this book at first but later dropped it, even though you probably won't see this.

I also want to sincerely thank all the brothers and sisters who continued subscribing to or tipping this book. Without you, there might not even have been these 2.6 million words.

This story, imperfect as it may be, was completed by all of you
