Her life involved deep-cover work. While the Corpse Refining Hall's High Priest believed Yuhe had been groomed to infiltrate Tang Family Fort, the Tiger Wolf Gate, and eventually the Blood Ridge Black Market, Yuhe's true allegiance was to Su Yuqing. She maintained an identity within the Corpse Refining Hall while secretly reporting its movements to Su Yuqing. 122 132

The High Priest branded Yuhe and forced her to swallow a Corpse Pill, threatening her with death from corpse poison unless she located the Immortal Treasure within three years. Yuhe immediately rode nearly two thousand miles to Nanyang Prefecture to warn Su Yuqing that the High Priest and Li Changchun had achieved rejuvenation through the Bright Jade Skill. 122

Tang Qingyun arranged for Yuhe to enter Xie An's household after his appointment as Blood Ridge Incense Master. She later revealed that her decision to serve him was also connected to her investigation into the Immortal Treasure. 101 132

Yuhe guides Xie An into Great Yin Mountain under a disguised identity, secures entry to the ancient pagoda, and joins him in killing Commander Hengyan.
