Retaliation After the Fact!

Evening self-study ended.

As winter approached, the nights grew increasingly bitter. At this hour in the past, there might still have been scattered pedestrians strolling along the River Dam, but now they had all vanished.

Xue Yuantong sat on the back seat of the Electric Bike, her tiny body pressed close against Jiang Ning as she felt his warmth and his fresh scent.

The empty fields stretched around them, with a straight Asphalt Road leading toward the pitch-black east. Between heaven and earth, there were only the two of them.

Xue Yuantong did not feel the slightest fear. She felt nothing but complete peace of mind.

At one point, she imagined, How wonderful would it be if things could stay like this forever?
