History

Territorial Expansion

In the earliest recorded era, humanity held only a few prefectures and shared a single province with other races. Cangzhou later became a human hinterland through repeated military campaigns. Human historical memory characterizes this expansion as inseparable from war over territory, resources, and the protection of civilian populations. 57

Saint Fan’s God Ascension and subsequent opening of Fan Province extended human territory into the Southern Wilderness. By the time of the Vast Continent record, the Human Race held eight provinces and directly bordered the Frost Giant Clan, Sand Clan, and Black Demon Clan. 75

Black Demon War

Humanity initially held the advantage in Arid State, but the Black Demon Race gradually gained support from more than a dozen neighboring races. Their combined Longevity Realm experts eventually matched the Human Race’s high-end combatants, while the Black Demon Race committed its full strength to the front. 115

After Gu Yang’s rise on the battlefield and the Human Race’s general offensive, Canglong Island, Great Brahma Heaven, the Martial God Palace, Xingyan Mountain, and other forces broke the Black Demon lines. The Human Race pursued the retreating enemy, destroyed the Black Demon King’s fortress, and eradicated the Black Demon Race as a military power. 215 216

Loss of Lord Cang

The Human Race’s dominance on the Vast Continent was reinforced by the legacy of three God Ascension experts: the Martial God, Saint Fan, and Lord Cang. Lord Cang’s fall reduced that number to two and encouraged hostile races to consider reclaiming territory from humanity. 202

In response, the Martial God Palace activated the Martial God Hall and summoned Longevity Realm practitioners from across human territory for a Human Alliance conference. 203

Mo State Coalition War

Following the fall of the Sand Clan and the formation of a wider alien coalition, Mo State became a major western front. Human soldiers and Canglong Island reinforcements fought Dragon Race, Multi-horn Race, Half-Beastman Race, and other alien forces across the province. 224 226

Despite heavy losses, human forces held defensive lines, launched repeated counterattacks, and forced an alien legion to retreat after Gu Mingwei’s sacrifice and the actions of Gu Yang and Canglan. 242 245

The Human Alliance is the collective body of human factions represented in major decisions and wartime coordination. Its Longevity Realm practitioners can be gathered through the Martial God Hall, an artifact created by the Martial God that spans human territory through consciousness projection. 203

Human border guards are organized into defensive formations supported by human-made formations. At one frontier battle, the weakest guards were peak Body Realm martial artists, while captains and commanders were Longevity Realm experts. The activated formation enhanced the guards’ strength, speed, and defense across the battlefield. 219

In the later Great Qin era, the term Human Race is explicitly distinguished from the broader term humanity. Humanity is described as a population mixed with other races, while the Human Race is identified with the Flame Emperor and Yellow Emperor lineage. 424
