Second Round

There was no doubt that such a planet-level anomaly had attracted the attention of the New Memory Matrix.

This planet's female-ghost version of the Memory Matrix had hair that moved without wind. In an instant, black strands covered the entire canopy. Boundless ants began crawling up the branches and into the radiation clouds, gnawing on radiation beast-fruit and secreting ant fluid.

For a time, the growth of the Planet Tree began to be suppressed. Many of the radiation vessels in its trunk started to collapse, spilling radiation blood of varying concentrations.

Throughout the planet's radiation belt, tree roots rose from the ground one after another. The various types of radiation beasts, the vast fields of Grade-D meat-plate algae, the radiation cheetah packs crawling through the forests, and the mutated sandworms in the deserts that whipped up sandstorms—these low-level radiation species were not very powerful, but they were numerous, and they formed the most important part of the radiation ecosystem.

At this moment, whether radiation plants or radiation animals, all were controlled by Gaia's will. The life force within them began to burn. The radiation plants burrowed directly underground and became soil to nourish the great tree, while the radiation beasts leaped into the roots and merged with the tree.

For every radiation beast that fused with it, a radiation fruit grew on the canopy. Its frequency not only failed to weaken but grew even stronger.

The "ants" were affected and flung away.

Stimulated, the trunk grew once again. Many branches pierced through the radiation layer and instead wrapped around the "female ghost matrix's" "hair."

At the top of the canopy, a petite humanoid figure formed from countless tender buds slowly opened its eyes. Little Woman Number Two—or rather, the Gaia will of this planet!
