The enormous Mechanical Black Tortoise advanced toward the North Ice Heaven, leaving one heavy footprint after another.
The North Pole of Fairy Energy Star was not called the North Pole, but the North Ice Heaven. This was because when the planet's atmosphere shielded its two high-latitude regions, the cold air formed a pot-lid-shaped ice shell in the sky. This ice shell stretched from one end of the horizon to the other, and beneath its cold reflection were icebergs, ice floes, seawater, rocks, and swarms of zombies moving through the cold.
As the Mechanical Black Tortoise moved, it split apart icebergs and stepped across the frozen sea. On its enormous mechanical legs, rings of heavy engines began to roar like thunder.
Powered by hundreds of interconnected engines, the Mechanical Black Tortoise's legs rose high before crashing down with tremendous force. The impact sent shockwaves surging out, blasting the zombies within dozens of miles into the air. At the same time, even more zombies heard the commotion and charged toward the Mechanical Black Tortoise.
Soon, the tide of corpses climbed up the four enormous mechanical pillars toward the Mechanical Black Tortoise's upper body, densely packed and seemingly endless.
Under the assault, the Black Tortoise's "shell" slowly opened. One ion cannon after another extended outward, and vast amounts of light began to gather. When the light reached its brightest, over a thousand beams swept across the area, vaporizing tens of thousands of zombies. Yet even more ice zombies charged forward. Their palms began to turn transparent, and wherever those palms touched the alloy shell, blue ice appeared. As they tightened their grips, the shell—which could withstand primary energy weapons—was squeezed into tiny holes. It was like termites eating away at a great tree, and more such holes were rapidly appearing.
