Slaying the Dragon!

A most shrill and piercing shriek echoed across the skies above the Gurumba Arena.

Though Soran had swooped down from the air to rescue it, the magma dragon still chose to ignore Soran's attack, opting instead to heavily injure and even kill the beholder right before it. Given its intellect, it understood all too well that it had to eliminate these annoying little bugs one by one in order to resolve the situation. The beholder was undoubtedly the easiest one for it to finish off; in terms of size and speed, there was no way the beholder could escape its attack range.

The magma dragon's gaping maw sank into the beholder's body, its terrifying bite force tearing a chunk of flesh straight out of the creature.

It was common knowledge that dragonkind possessed astonishing bite force. The bite force of a tyrannosaurus rex (dinosaur species) could even flip a car over, and as one of the most powerful landwyrm species, the magma dragon before them possessed a terrifying bite force that could probably pierce a tank's armor. It bit directly into the side of the beholder's body, tearing away the creature along with one of its eyestalks right on the spot. As a special life form, eyestalks were a beholder's most important physiological organs and also one of their greatest weaknesses; the agony brought by having one bitten off was roughly equivalent to a human having their genitals severed.

One could only imagine just how piercing that shriek was!

With an eyestalk and a portion of its body bitten off, the beholder was plunged into a near-death state almost instantly. Yet just as the magma dragon prepared to follow up with another strike to finish off the beholder before it in one go, it suddenly let out a piercing shriek
