When Soran returned to his room at the tavern with his winnings, a beautiful, alluring succubus maid immediately knocked on his door and said softly, "Lord Soran!"
"A goblin lord is outside asking to see you."
In just a few days, Soran had earned the respect of the other demons through his strength.
Demons respected only the strong, so Soran's standing in the Magma Tavern had soared. The clearest sign was that the succubus maids now called him "Lord Soran" and "Lord Headhunter." The demons and fiends he encountered in the tavern almost always bowed slightly, showing the deference due to a high-tier demon. That was especially true of the neutral-aligned fiends. Getting them to bow their heads to Soran took a reputation.
It showed just how much of a name Soran had made for himself at Gurumba Arena!

Soran frowned slightly, then quickly worked out why the visitor had come. It was probably for the Dragon Crystal in his possession. Frankly, Soran was not worried about anyone trying to steal it. He had strength of his own, and he had Greater Teleport. Besides, this was the goblins' turf. Gurumba Arena drew so many fiends because, although they knew goblins were treacherous, cunning, and greedy, they also knew goblins did not readily break their promises.
Gurumba Arena had its own rules!
Soran's position was unusual, and he had drawn considerable attention. The goblins could not openly scheme to take his Dragon Crystal. They might even have to protect it.
After all, plenty of demons knew he had a Dragon Crystal, and the fiends knew it too.
Few were willing to challenge a powerful fire demon. If someone challenged the rules of Gurumba Arena for the sake of the Dragon Crystal, it would seriously damage the goblins'
