Water of Life! First Update

Oak Sage's senses reached far and wide.

In fact, many Nature Guardians had sent their roots deep into the earth. The entire demiplane was connected to them, as though it were a realm under their care. Here, Nature Guardians possessed abilities much like Tower Spirit 13's in the War Chess Plane. Soren might have gone unnoticed if he merely slipped in, but if he fought or damaged the environment, the Treant Guards would have little trouble finding him.

Dryads, pixies, water sprites.

Soren saw many beautiful figures here. They lived quietly in this paradise, almost without a care in the world.

But that probably would not last much longer.

The devils of Baator Hell and the demons of the Abyss had always coveted the souls of such nature spirits. They were beautiful embodiments of nature itself, and with only a slight twist to their souls, their powers could serve other purposes. At the very least, high-tier devils and high-tier demons could easily turn pixies, water sprites, dryads, and the like into incubi and succubi.

The conversion cost them next to nothing!

Their souls were so compatible that it took only a little power to turn them into incubi and succubi.

After the Time of Troubles began, the Gate of the Jungle would be destroyed and left as an isolated world. A number of incubi and succubi would still roam it—what remained of the spirits whose souls had been twisted and transformed.

One was beauty born of goodness; the other, beauty born of evil.

Soren had no intention of changing any of it. He lacked the power to change the world, and there was no stopping the Time of Troubles. If he could shelter Port Nyanzaru after it began, he would count himself lucky.
