Inclusiveness! First Update

A gentle evening breeze blew toward them.

In the commoners' quarter near Arendelle's harbor, a group of children had gathered. A sailor's horn sounded from the shore, but they paid it no mind. They stood in a circle, watching intently as, now and then, one of them stepped aside to imitate a stance that looked a little like Sword Momentum: Horizontal Slash.

They were secretly learning how to fight.

These children lived at the very bottom of society and had few grand ambitions. Their parents encouraged them to come in the hope that they might pick up a skill or two and avoid being bullied when they worked on the docks someday.

Knowing a couple of moves could only help.

On the other side of the commoners' quarter stood a cheap inn, with a mule stable beside it. The air was a little foul. Arendelle was prosperous enough that the road outside was paved, but rain still left puddles on it. This was the poorest part of Arendelle, yet its residents were not gaunt or sickly. At worst, their clothes were rather worn.

The paladins were staying here for the time being.

As representatives of Lawful Good, many of them rejected luxury and held firmly to their creed.

So they had turned down the lodgings offered by Arendelle's court and chosen the cheap inn instead. Powerful though they were, they were not wealthy.

A young paladin was teaching one of the children.

Other paladins watched nearby. His name no longer mattered. Since leaving the City of Wealth, his convictions had been tested time and again.

Now he wielded the Holy Avenger.

The paladins called him the "Hand of Justice." He had not yet fully entered the Legendary Domain or earned a title of his own, but he was close.

In
