Beneath the cold moonlight.

A primitive, savage altar stood near Spike Ridge Valley, home to a species rarely seen elsewhere on the continent.

The origins of these creatures had been lost to time. All that was known was that beyond the human kingdoms, near the wilderness, many boarfolk roamed the fringes of Orc territory. Like Gnolls, they lived by hunting and fishing, so the hunt was an essential part of their daily lives.

Faith in Malar, the God of Hunt, was widespread in this region.

It was nearly dawn. Numerous bonfires burned around the altar, and amid the jumble of sounds came faint, boarlike howls.

Many evil Lycanthropes were devoted followers of Malar, the God of Hunt.

A multitude of creatures had gathered around the altar: humans, Orcs, Lizardfolk, Gnolls, and boarfolk. Each group kept to its own kind. Racial divisions meant that even worshippers of the same Deity rarely got along. Unless an important task demanded it, these hunters seldom gathered together.

"Awooo!"

A piercing wolf howl rang out. The Gnolls near the altar looked startled, and some even shrank back in fear.

Under the cold moonlight, a tall, burly figure approached at tremendous speed.

At first glance, he resembled a Gnoll, but a closer look revealed that he was no Gnoll at all. He was a Dark Creature.

He was a Werewolf!

Like Vampires, Werewolves were a Dark Species with gifts far beyond those of ordinary beings. He swept his crimson gaze over the other hunters, then slowly walked to the center of the altar.

Dark Species lived by the hunt.

Among both Werewolves and Vampires, a considerable number worshipped Malar, the God of Hunt.

The reason was simple.
