Once the goblins were wiped out, his Demon Avatar would spend some time consolidating his hold on the region, aiming to become a low-ranking Demon Lord. After taking the arena, Soran planned to reopen it. The arena and its prizes would attract powerful demons, giving him a foothold on the third layer of the Abyss, the Realm of the Forgottens. A Demon Lord needed a power base of his own, and Soran needed more fighters and expendable troops.
Only after he secured his territory could the planar arms trade provide him with a steady income.
