War of Golems.
This was a legendary event that broke out in the early days of the Time of Troubles, triggered by an unknown team of adventurers venturing deep into a ruin near the Gobi Desert. There were a vast number of ancient ruins scattered across the Material Plane, and exploring them was originally not a problem. For reasons unknown, however, this ruin happened to be remarkably intact. Its internal defense mechanism was triggered after these adventurers entered, causing a large number of Golem puppets buried underground to activate and, due to certain reasons, attack any living creature nearby.
Soren did not have many memories regarding the War of Golems.
He had never personally participated in the War of Golems back then; at that time, his professional level was barely enough to fight Gnolls, and only the top-tier adventurers were able to join it, and even then, only in the relatively outer-periphery battles. Soren remembered that around six hundred people seemed to have died at the time, eventually wearing down one of the Adamantite Golems through sheer numbers, which counted as the highest-tier creature slain by adventurers in the early Time of Troubles.
The location where the War of Golems broke out was in the Gobi Desert region.
Soren was still not very clear on the exact location, but he knew that it was originally the outer periphery of the Arcane Empire, meaning that this underground ruin was not formed by the crashing of a Floating City, but rather an ordinary city buried directly due to a descending disaster.
A legendary Swordmaster appeared in this battle.
Soren vaguely remembered that this legendary Swordmaster did not seem to be a southerner, but rather a practitioner from the Eastern Realm.
Swordmasters and Monks shared many similarities.
