Godspawn!

Many creatures could drag people into dreams.

Nightmares and Old Hags were among them, but their powers over dreams were only effective against mortals. For a Deity like Soren, being dragged into a dream was almost impossible. Very few creatures in the Multiverse could do it, and in this situation, only one seemed likely.

Dream Chrysalis [Godspawn]!

No one knew how Dream Chrysalises came into being. Legend held that they were the illegitimate children of the god of fantasy, desire, and dreams.

That Deity had long since vanished into history. At least, Soren had never heard anything about that god. But the Dream Chrysalises remained, and they were more dangerous than Deities.

Because they were Godspawn!

Dream Chrysalises had no fixed form. They could change their bodies as freely as they did in dreams, and wielding a Divine Ability like Alter Form was no challenge for a Godspawn.

Through the long ages,

Dream Chrysalises had been sealed in the deepest reaches of the Multiverse. The Gods dared not take any Godspawn lightly. Some were born with power greater than a Deity's.

A Dream Chrysalis could kill with a mere gaze, though not those with powerful wills. They had once appeared in The Abyss, but certain Demon Lords seemed to have destroyed them. Even Demon Lords deeply feared their power over dreams and wanted no such dangerous creatures nearby. A Dream Chrysalis could seize its enemies and send their bodies into a temporary, specially prepared nightmare.

It was a power that made dreams almost real.

Anyone who died inside one would immediately face a Death Saving Throw. If they failed the Will Save, they would die along with the dream.

They wielded a unique power over their domain.

It could even shift reality into a dream and, when necessary, turn reality
