Soren cleared the battlefield quickly.

The Demigod Lich had not carried all that many good items—just three pieces of legendary equipment.

A damaged robe, a staff that accelerated spellcasting, and a somewhat familiar-looking ring. The first two were useless to Soren, so he would probably have to take them back to Goria and see whether they could be repaired for the women to use. The last item looked familiar because it resembled the Ring of the Lich Soren had obtained before. Its spell aura was much stronger, however. The Demigod Lich must have placed multiple enchantments on it.

Aside from those, all that remained were a few odds and ends.

Those were not what Soren truly valued. He strode into the lower level of the underground ruins and found himself in an enormous laboratory.

All sorts of glass bottles held biological organs that made his skin crawl.

On the left stood a large alchemy bench, while an enormous bookshelf occupied the right. There was no sign of any enemies, and the Thousand-Soul Head did not seem to be down here. It might have been elsewhere in the underground ruins. Since Soren was already here, he naturally had to take anything valuable with him. One glance at the workbench was enough to kill his interest, and he took only a few valuable materials from it, such as mithril, mithril, and more mithril.

Damn!

The Demigod Lich had definitely gone plundering in the Underdark, because Soren had actually found a fist-sized lump of mithril on its workbench.

That was nearly half a year's production for the entire Underdark!
