After experimenting like this, Soren gained a fair understanding of the abilities his fused portfolios had given him. This seemed to be a portfolio ability similar to [Death Playback]. A God of Death might be able to directly perceive any trace of death, but Soren could not yet do that. He had to use his tracking portfolio to help identify the deaths he saw.
His tracking portfolio had fused with part of the Death Domain's power, allowing him to piece together traces and see the moments before a death.
