In the blink of an eye, he was back on the Material Plane.
As the God's Realm Fragment collapsed and vanished completely, the planar rift before Soren gradually disappeared as well. He had no idea how many such rifts remained. That depended on the impact the God's Realm had sustained when it fell onto the Material Plane. The realms of long-established deities were never small. Fragments like this held little of value; to find anything worthwhile, he would have to locate the main body of the God's Realm—the center Malar, the God of Hunt, had built within his realm. That was the source of his power.
As he continued across the barren land, signs of beasts became increasingly frequent.
Soren also found traces of the Moonwalkers, along with Orc shaman priests. The treasures within the God's Realm had drawn many people here.
"It should be this way."
Using the perception granted by his Tracking portfolio, Soren soon pinpointed a location.
After traveling several dozen kilometers, an enormous crater appeared before him. It looked as though a meteor had struck the ground. Several planar rifts were scattered around it, radiating considerable energy fluctuations. These rifts might connect to God's Realm Fragments, or to the center of the God's Realm. There might even be several rifts leading into the same plane. Several groups had already gathered near the crater.
There were humans, Elves, Orcs, and dark species.
Soren even spotted former followers of Malar, the God of Hunt. He had no idea what they intended to do inside the God's Realm.
These groups were clearly stronger.
They had not rushed into the God's Realm. Instead, they watched and waited, trying to determine which planar rift would offer the safest passage. With his Tracking portfolio, Soren also detected a faint, familiar presence.
