Gollor silently listened to Tink's complaints. Burdened by his thoughts, he said nothing.
"Anyway, today's situation is unusual," Tink said, coming back to himself.
"Lillian specifically tracked down that Green Skin, hoping to scare off the Black Silks."
Gollor frowned and looked up.
"The Black Street Brotherhood? What happened?"
"You still don't know?"
At the mention of it, Tink sighed, thoroughly annoyed.
"The Brotherhood's whore boss—a bitch named Belicia—has disappeared. She was abducted on Red Quarter Street."
Tales became alert when he heard something interesting.
Belicia had been abducted on Red Quarter Street.
And he knew exactly who had done it.
Gollor frowned. "What does that have to do with you?"
Tink shrugged.
"Haven't girls from the north been popular lately? A few days ago, Belicia got into a feud with Lillian over several newly arrived Northern Land girls."
"So the Black Silks think we did it. They brought a huge group over to pressure us, and every shop received 'special attention'—especially this place. You know, that damned bitch and her 'One Night Encounter' have been butting heads with us for years, even without the business over the northern girls."
Tink sighed.
"Because of this, Red Quarter Street has been in chaos all day, with everyone on edge. Hmph, just now some reckless carriage was still charging around Red Quarter Street at a time like this—right, did you see that carriage?"
That recklessly charging carriage...
Gollor froze. Fortunately, after Tales's prompting gaze, he woodenly shook his head.
"So, did you do it?"
Tales quickly took over, diverting Tink's attention.
"Abducting someone from the Brotherhood?"
Tink glanced at Tales, then cast a puzzled look at Gollor. The latter indicated that it was fine.
"Of course not us—"
Tink denied it at first, but after hesitating for a while, his tone softened.
