"Bahamut." Huai Shi repeated solemnly.
"Oh, so it's Lord Bahamut."
Zim nodded in realization, then tilted his head and quietly asked the Serpent-faced Priest beside the throne, "Never heard of him. Have you heard of this fellow?"
"No."
The Serpent-faced Priest shook his head in confusion. "But the hells of the Abyss are as countless as the sands of the Ganges. Perhaps there is such a one? The aura of a ruler's blessing on that Kobold cannot be faked. The other party truly is a most exalted ruler."
As Bo Xun's chief priest, he could naturally sense the deep, shadowy Abyssal essence within the other's soul, one that even faintly surpassed his own.
Presumably, this fellow must be a deeply trusted subordinate before that Bahamut or whatever.
Mm, perhaps even the 'deeply favored' kind...
The priest maliciously speculated.
After receiving the priest's confirmation, Zim's suspicions eased somewhat. He lowered his head to inspect the Kobold, but aside from the fact that he looked delicious and appetizing, he could sense nothing else.
Though he had never heard of this Bahamut, he would just treat him as some Kobold king.
"If I provide your master with what he wants, how does he intend to repay my goodwill?" Zim asked coldly.
"The great, sacred, supreme, benevolent... generous Bahamut will never mistreat any ally!"
After using a hundred thousand adjectives to praise himself, Huai Shi raised his head and declared thunderously, "You shall receive my master's precious friendship!"
"...Friendship?"
Zim could not help but snort with laughter.
Was your Kobold king's friendship useful? How much was that crap worth in hell?
