"It really is you... I thought I'd mistaken you for someone else."
The middle-aged man could not help but smile in delighted surprise. He stood there stunned for a long while, then seemed to let out a long breath of relief.
"Hello, Owen Carter. Just call me Owen."
He introduced himself excitedly, lifted the large bags he had brought back from the supermarket, and opened the door. "Please, come in. The house is a little messy, so I hope you won't mind."
Ten minutes later, Huai Shi and Mr. Russell were seated in a somewhat cluttered yet warmly furnished living room.
Faint steam rose from the teacups in their hands.
A dog was also racing joyfully around the living room before finally burrowing into Huai Shi's arms to beg for pats. Huai Shi held it and ruffled its head.
He looked around.
The place was lined with bookshelves crammed with all kinds of reference materials. A huge table was piled with sketches, covered in bizarre creatures and buildings, fantastical scenes, and children drawn in an innocent, adorable style.
The display cabinets contained all manner of picture books and Fairy Tales. It looked like an illustrator's studio.
Meanwhile, sounds of rummaging kept coming from the storage room.
After quite a while, Owen returned, wiping sweat from his forehead. His face and arms were covered in dust as he struggled to carry back a massive box.
He set it down before them.
"Finally found it."
He sighed in relief and sat down. "Before my father passed away, he left a will. He said that one day, if the Mr. Russell in this photograph came to visit, I was to give this to him."
He took out an old picture frame and compared it to the Mr. Russell before him. "I never expected
