When Huai Shi and the others returned from the aerial courtyard, there was one more person in the group.
In the wheelchair Anna pushed, the curious old man kept looking around, utterly unaware of where he was going. Only when he occasionally muttered did he repeat what Russell had told him.
"Go home."
Huai Shi carried a bag of travel luggage for him, while Rome would send the rest of his belongings directly to the Ivory Tower.
When he stood on the airport runway again, he could not help but feel overwhelmed with emotion. The brief journey had contained so many experiences that even he felt somewhat exhausted.
"Where are we going next?"
Russell did not answer.
He merely lowered his head to look at the message that had appeared on his phone.
After a long while, he slowly raised his head, his expression strange. "Unfortunately, your journey is temporarily over, Huai Shi."
"Over?"
After confirming it several times, Huai Shi could not understand. "What exactly does that mean?"
He had already prepared himself to be dragged into another pit by this guy and made into a tool again if necessary, but there had not even been a result yet. How had it suddenly ended without any warning?
They had watched everything up to this point, only to be denied the finale? Wasn't that a little too much?
Even if this were a road movie, the audience would demand a refund!
"Can't be helped. There are always unexpected developments."
Russell sighed helplessly. "I was planning to take you to Egypt at the end and see whether you got lucky enough for the Pharaoh to give you a prophecy, but it seems you don't have that kind of luck."
He said, "I can take Marcus with me for what comes next.
