Eastern Wasteland.
One of the Eight Wastelands.
This territory was jointly governed by the Primordial Spirit Hall, the Star Spirit Flame Race, and the Mechanical Race.
At that moment, in a region surrounded by hundreds of thousands of stars, there existed a supermassive gravitational source. It released an unparalleled, tremendous gravitational force that maintained the orbits of hundreds of thousands of stars, forming a vast galaxy somewhere between a galactic system and a stellar system.
Some technological civilizations might have been able to observe this starfield through special means and marvel that the universe could contain such a splendid and magnificent wonder. What they could never have known was that these stars...
were all alive.
Every star possessed a will of its own.
Nor was their existence, or their birth and extinction, unchanging.
It was merely that, to them, the slightest change might span tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands, of years. The mere centuries of lifespan enjoyed by mortal civilizations were but a drop in the ocean compared to such changes. Many civilizations might have risen and fallen a dozen times while these stars still circled the gravitational source without the slightest movement.
Thus, those mortals regarded astronomical phenomena that remained unchanged for hundreds or thousands of years of observation as truth, enshrined them as laws, and smugly believed that they alone were the universe's only life.
At that moment, in the center of a divine temple filled with endless heat and blinding radiance, four figures maintained human forms as they stood amid light and flames.
They were the Star Spirit Flame Race's most central existences.
The Flame Race, one of the Star Spirit's three great races.
They differed from the Radiant Race, which revered fleeting brilliance, and from the Dark Race, which devoured all things
