As the electronic voice faded, her once-translucent projection began to solidify before their eyes.
In an instant, the illusory data streams became some kind of ultra-dense silver matter from which even light could not escape.
The crushing pressure made it feel as though a giant hand had seized the entire void.

Yang Yu opened the booklet with great ceremony, moistened a finger with saliva, flipped through several pages, then pointed to a line and read with a straight face:
"Under Chapter Three, Article Five of these regulations,
outside vehicles... No, outside fleets that park outside the community without permission from the residents' committee shall be charged an obstruction fee of three thousand Star Coins per ton per second."
