Shield Beast

The "blade spine" of the Blade Beast was lined with spikes, like mountain peaks that had grown straight from its body. The spikes were incredibly hard, and each one contained tremendous power. Their shapes varied: some resembled wolf fangs, others curved hooks, and still others triangular pyramids. In battle, the ancient beast could ram its enemies with its blade spine. Those spikes would smash into them like battering rams, easily pulverizing their defenses while releasing an energy that paralyzed them. This energy would seep through their wounds and invade their bodies, slowing their movements until they seemed trapped in a thick swamp.

The Blade Beast possessed an astonishing level of martial power. Its attacks resembled those of an unparalleled martial artist displaying exquisite blade techniques. Whenever it attacked, it would charge at its enemy with incredible speed, moving like a bolt of lightning tearing through the night. During its dash, it gathered its strength into its blades, forming a powerful vortex of energy around them. The vortex could sweep every nearby object into itself. Boulders, trees, and enemies alike would all be mercilessly shredded.

When it drew near its enemy, it would unleash an attack known as Sky-Rending Slash. It would leap high into the air, turning its entire body into a dazzling blade of light before cleaving down at its enemy. The attack was powerful enough to split a mountain range. Wherever the blade passed, a huge rift would appear in space, as though the world itself had been cut in two. The tremendous impact would form a destructive energy wave that spread in every direction, flattening everything around it.
