Harvest

The blazing sun hung high in the sky, mercilessly scorching this vast, boundless desert. Gales carried yellow sand with them, surging and churning like roaring waves. They blotted out the sky and sun, plunging the entire Desert World into a murky yellow haze. The scorching sun and flying sand intertwined, as though they meant to strangle every last trace of life from the land. Only the drought-resistant cacti stood stubbornly along the edge of the sea of sand, bearing witness to the cruelty and tenacity within this desolate wilderness.

"Hiss!!!"

The Desert Giant Scorpion attacked again. It slammed its enormous pincers together in front of itself, producing a dull boom, then charged toward the Blade Beast and Shield Beast at incredible speed. A towering cloud of sand rose behind it, resembling a yellow dragon sweeping across the desert. The gale grew even more savage beneath the scorpion's charge, whipping the yellow sand into enormous vortices that filled the sky above the battlefield and blurred everyone's vision.

Seeing this, the Blade Beast flickered and vanished from where it stood. Relying on its unparalleled advantage in speed, it circled around to the Desert Giant Scorpion's flank. At the instant the scorpion swung its pincers to attack, the Blade Beast leaped high into the air and slashed viciously at its eyes with its razor-sharp claws. However, the Desert Giant Scorpion seemed to have been prepared. It swiftly raised a pincer to block, and the Blade Beast's claws collided with it in a shower of sparks and a metallic clang. Using the force of the impact, the Blade Beast flipped through the air and landed steadily on the sand nearby, kicking up a cloud of dust.
