Endless

Within the void, Li Yang felt the power within his body. His eyes burned brightly as he looked toward the final place in this world that attracted him: the Endless Abyss!

"The Endless Abyss... Endless..."

Li Yang narrowed his eyes slightly. Then a faint smile flickered across his lips, and with one step, he vanished from where he stood.

Beyond the Endless Abyss stretched a vast, boundless, barren, and deathly silent land, as though it were a forgotten corner of the world. An oppressive and mysterious aura permeated every inch of it.

When Li Yang first arrived at the edge of the Endless Abyss, the first thing that entered his view was a stretch of parched earth. The ground was a dull, charred black, with enormous cracks crisscrossing it like a shattered spiderweb and extending into the distance. The cracks were bottomless. Wisps of black smoke rose from them now and then, carrying a pungent sulfurous odor that filled the air and made breathing heavy and difficult. Almost no sign of life could be seen across the cracked ground. Once in a while, a few withered plants stubbornly took root in the crevices in twisted postures. Their dried branches seemed to recount the suffering they had once endured, and their presence only accentuated the desolation and despair of this land.

Surrounding the Endless Abyss were ranges of rolling mountains. Yet these mountains were utterly unlike anything normally seen. Their bodies were formed from black rock, their surfaces covered in sharp ridges that glinted with a frigid gleam in the dim light, as though they were enormous black fragments casually discarded by a giant. The mountain walls were steep and perilous, dropping almost vertically
